Student Access
DID YOU KNOW?
All McDowell County students already have a McDowell County Public Library account. Just use your lunch number to use library computers, check out items, or access online resources from your local public library.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Just like a library card, a StudentAccess account is completely free! There are no overdue fines for StudentAccess accounts, but students are responsible for any fees on lost or damaged books.
WHAT CAN THEY CHECK OUT?
With a StudentAccess account, every student will be able to check out up to 10 books or audiobooks at a time. Their number will also sign them on to library computers and will allow access to online resources.
WHAT KIND OF ONLINE RESOURCES?
The McDowell County Public Library offers library users access to hundreds of databases and educational resources through a service called NC Live. With a StudentAccess account, students will be able to access these databases and educational resources when needed in the classroom and at home.
