We’re bringing the library to you!
Our Mission:
The Bookmobile is an extension of the McDowell County Public Library. It serves as a traveling neighborhood library providing materials and timely personal services to communities, neighborhoods, and individuals.
What does the bookmobile offer?
A lot! You can find over a 1,000 picture books, teen fiction, and titles on the bestseller lists. You have your choice of print or audiobooks, as well as Large Print titles. We also carry DVDs of popular movies and tv shows.
Need access to a computer, printer, or even a scanner?
We can help! When a cellphone signal is available, we are able to provide access to Wi-Fi, laptops, and a printer/scanner. Our friendly outreach staff can help get you started.

We can sign you up on the spot so you can get access to all of these resources!
