Patrons can submit their prints remotely three different ways:
**Please Note: It may take up to 20-30 minutes for us to receive your print request.**
You can send or forward emails to the following addresses to be printed. Keep in mind, if it is an email with an attachment, it will generate two print jobs: one for the email and one for the attachment.

What’s New for Kids?
We are including a virtual component to the Kid’s Summer Reading Program! The library has partnered with Beanstack so kids and parents can log their reading time and enter our raffle virtually. Printed logs are still available!

Browsing the Collection
Patrons are now allowed to make an appointment to browse the library collection, children’s area or DVDs for check-out at the Marion branch! These services are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These appointments can only be made the same day.
We are running at a 20 person capacity, so making an appointment will guarantee your spot. These appointments are for 30 minutes, but can be extended to an hour. One family unit is allowed in the children’s area at a time for 30 minutes.
We have self-checkout stations for patrons to check out their items. A library staff member will be available for this process.
Masks are required to enter the building. Masks are available at the Circulation Desk.

Computer Labs Reopening
Starting Monday, June 8th, the Marion Library and Old Fort Library will reopen the computer area to the public. We have seven stations available in Marion, and four stations in Old Fort.
To make sure we’re following CDC guidelines and doing our best to protect patrons and staff, computers will be available by appointment. Patrons can call the library and make their reservations for the current day only. We are limiting use to one-hour, but will extend the session for another hour depending on availability.
Again, to encourage social distancing, we are allowing only two people per computer station. Once you have arrived for scheduled time, you will need to call the library to be allowed in. No other areas will be open at this time.
To learn more, visit our how-to guide to sending your print requests to the library from anywhere.
All McDowell County Public Library buildings are currently offering curbside service!
WiFi is also available from either location and extends into the parking lot.
