Paws for Reading

Dogs are great listeners! Each week we will have a certified therapy dog at the library. Children are invited to read to this friendly dog to practice their reading skills without feeling self-conscious while reading to an adult. Sign up for an appointment at the circulation desk.
LEGO© Builders Club
Marion Library – Mondays at 4:30-5:30pm
This is an activity for children ages 5 and up. They will be building with LEGO© bricks to complete different challenges each week.
Old Fort Library – Wednesdays at 3:30-4:30pm
LEGO© challenges, board games, crafts, and outdoor fun! For school-age children, ages 5 and up.
Crafts for Little Hands

Each month, pre-school aged children are invited to craft at the library. Dress for a mess because we will be using glue, scissors, paints, paper, markers, crayons and much more!
Children’s Craft Time

School-aged kids (ages 5+) are invited to show off their artistic side and make a fun craft!
Battle of the Books Club
Marion Library- 1st Thursday of month at 4:30-5:30pm
Old Fort Library – 3rd Wednesday of month at 4:30-5:30pm
Hang out with other youth who are reading books on NC’s Elementary School Battle of the Books List. Each month we’ll pick a new book from the list to discuss, enjoy snacks, and complete a fun group activity!
