Homebound Service Application
The mission of the Library Outreach Service is to serve residents of McDowell County who are unable to visit our facilities.
You are eligible if you are:
- Permanently or temporarily homebound
- The caregiver of a homebound person
- Without transportation
To receive this free monthly service, please verify your eligibility by contacting us at 828-652-3858. Each patron using the service will need a library card. If you do not have a card, please see let us know and we will assist you in getting one. Applying for this service gives the outreach librarian permission to use your card to check out your books.
